Lego-Themed Components Almost Ready At LEGOLAND Malaysia

There are a few exciting developments going on at LEGOLAND Malaysia as the theme park gets ready for another busy period during the coming school holidays at the end of this month. The park management is working hard and invested more to keep the crowds coming and they hope by end of the year, LEGOLAND Malaysia Theme Park will be able to add two new attractions: LEGOLAND Water Theme Park and LEGOLAND Hotel. In the meantime, its general manager Seigfried Boerst has informed the media that construction works on the LEGO-themed components are progressing well and expected to be completed a few months ahead of schedule. “We will keep updating members of the media from time to time on the exact opening date of the two attractions. The opening of the water theme park and the hotel will transform the park into a LEGOLAND Resort,’’ Boerst  was reported saying on Saturday.

Asked whether the opening date of the two attractions would take place on September 15, to coincide with the park’s first anniversary, Boerst quipped “it could be’’.

Seigfried Boerst was with outgoing Maybank president and chief executive officer Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar at LEGOLAND Malaysia Theme Park as they unveiled the Menara Maybank LEGO model. The 5.5-metre high model is designed and built by the park’s master model builders from more than 318,000 LEGO bricks and took over three months to complete. The LEGO model is the only Malaysian bank head office in Miniland and was chosen to be included as it is deemed to be one of the iconic buildings in the country.
